Karna prayag Trust runs a day care centre for the children of surrounding areas, which functions from 8.30 AM in the morning and closes at 7.00pm in the evening on all working days.

Two teachers and two care givers look after 28 children at the center. The main focus of our activities at the center, is physical, cognitive and social development of the children through play way method, The learning activities that start at 9.30am after a light snack, mainly fruits. include singing rhymes, coloring and painting and free games. Lunch and evening snacks are also provided. After outdoor games in the evening they are ready to go home.

The Centre is just completing 2 years of service to these children and their parents and an annual day celebrations is planned on the 15 th of August.

The first annual day was celebrated with a cultural progamme by the children on the 14 th of August 2008, followed by a fancy dress competetion.

Parents meetings are organized once in 6 months to review the progress of their children. The feed-back, we have been getting is very encouraging. A summer camp was organized, on the request of the parents, where children learned several interesting activities like painting ,vegetable craving, clay modelling etc.
