How you can help
- We manage Karnaprayag completely on donations. People donate time and skills and money and it keeps us going from year to year. The financial donations are important to us because we do not charge any fees for adoption. Only the maintenance charges stipulated by the Government are charged. At all times we have a list of urgently needed essentials and they range from furniture like babycots and medical items like nebulisers to diapers, feeding bottles and baby formula.
- If you wish to make a financial contribution you could send a cheque in favour of the Karnaprayag Trust. All contributions to Karnaprayag are eligible for 100% Income Tax exemption in India under Sections 35 C and 80 G of the Income Tax Act. We send a receipt for every financial contribution and if you make a request, we will send you a copy of our Annual Report so that you can see how we spend the money our donors entrust to us
Anita’s story
Anita was a 4 year old abandoned child when she came to Karnaprayag. Tara a
banker, asked us at the same time for an older child as she was single and a
working woman. She took Anita home and mother and daughter bonded well. Soon
Anita was doing well in a good private school.
